Huh...so that's what decent into insanity feels like.

TMBG just released their new album in a physical copy yesterday. Anyhow, they put up a video to one of the songs on YouTube. I love how it reminds me of the Istanbul video and enjoyed the visual references to their Ana Ng video and their Apollo 18 cover. However, wow, I get worried every time something in it starts making sense to me.

Ooh! Thank you for passing that on. And for reminding me to drop by Best Buy on my way home today...

Mmmm, new TMBG. Still no tour dates in Texas, though.

Sorry about the tour date thing. Hopefully, they head your way sometime soon. Otherwise, you'll just have to visit family up this way again. They're much more likely to have a tour date somewhere around New York.

Let me know what you think when you pick it up. We pre-ordered ours from Amazon, but we did so with the new Harry Potter book to get free shipping. So we have to wait until the book release date before we get the album. Stupid continued waiting.

I know some people complained that the images in the video had too much to do with the lyrics. The Johns usually make an effort not to do that in their videos. I thought this was pretty cool (I liked the squid and the mounted pony heads), but it would be nice to see another video where the Johns actually have some input.

I agree. I miss seeing them in videos (that aren't just live concert footage). And I really didn't mind that this video tied in with its own lyrics. Since the lyrics jump around quite a bit, the images still maintain a nonsensical feel to me.

True, but they still had SOMETHING to do with the lyrics, which isn't the case for most official TMBG videos. I think one of the rare cases when they do is during the "turn it up" bit in "The Guitar."
